Has it in SVN. Even in earlier versions, if you had editable checked, 
there would be an "Instances:   (Add )" where you could add instances. 
It was somewhat icky in some versions

Better to superlative instance support (e.g., form like interface; 
whatever else seems to work) is high on the lists.
